Yard Drainage & Grading

Yard drainage combines surface collection (catch basins, channel drains), re-grading, and often French drains so water leaves patios and low spots within hours of a Florida storm instead of sitting for days.

How it works

Engineered for Florida conditions.

Standing water kills grass, breeds mosquitoes, and softens soil against foundations. We map flow paths, install collection points at low spots, and route water to safe discharge — often the same sump or storm connection as your French drain system.

Downspouts that dump next to the house are a common culprit; we tie them into the drainage network. Hardscape (driveways, pool decks) is redirected so it does not create new bowls.

Work is planned to protect landscaping and restore finished grade so the fix is functional and presentable.

Yard Drainage & Grading FAQs

Why does water stand in my Florida yard after rain?

Flat lots, high water tables, poor grading, compacted soil, and downspouts dumping into low spots. Multiple causes usually stack — we diagnose on site.

Is re-grading enough without a French drain?

Sometimes for mild surface pooling. Chronic high water table or foundation-side moisture usually needs subsurface collection plus discharge.

Can you fix a flooded lanai or patio?

Yes — channel drains, catch basins, and proper slope away from the structure are common fixes, often tied into a larger drainage system.

How soon can I use the yard after install?

Access returns quickly; turf establishment varies. We explain restoration timing during the assessment.
